Information Technology Solutions (ITS) is AARP's technology leader in positive social change and member value, enabling a more effective workforce and globally connecting employees, members, volunteers, partners and advocates to maximize engagement.
AARP’s Information Technology Services (ITS) Group oversees technology initiatives and information systems that support AARP’s ability to deliver our mission. Our Communications Intern will support internal communications campaigns and external technology-focused efforts and will be able to engage at various levels of the communication process.
Major responsibilities of the intern include and are not limited to the following:
Interns must be currently enrolled in a degreed program at an accredited college or university; maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors who have a demonstrated interest in technology, communications or journalism. AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program. Our successful candidate must comfortably demonstrate the following:
