Integrated Communications and Marketing is a multimedia, service-focused communications and marketing operation that leads in shaping the impression of AARP by providing communications planning, marketing, support and execution for AARP’s strategic business units.
AARP is hiring a Social Strategist who will be responsible for overseeing the execution and implementation of AARP’s social content strategy. Under the guidance of the Director of Social, they will assist with the development of AARP’s social content strategy and work with the Social Marketing Senior Advisor to ensure maximum exposure for content on paid platforms. The Social Strategist with the assistance of Social Media Coordinator will manage all social content projects from receipt of brief all the way through to execution.
The position’s chief responsibilities include:
Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree, (advanced degree preferred) in marketing communications or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in developing social communications strategies for a variety of clients at an agency or large, complex organization
Previous social media management experience is required including community management and paid media management
