The Human Resources Group aligns policies, procedures, and activities with AARP’s mission and strategic priorities. Human Resources does this by partnering with AARP’s leaders and employees to assist them in achieving their objectives. The Sr Adv, Vendor Relationships reports directly to the Director, Vendor Management. The Sr. Advisor is responsible for managing, implementing and communicating a multi-sourcing vendor management strategy in support of AARP's business and IT strategies. The Sr. Advisor collaborates with the ITS Business Operations Team and other key stakeholders across the organization to ensure vendors and partners are effectively identified and managed and contracts are fully leveraged to drive the optimal value for AARP. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with Procurement and Contracts Management (PCM) regarding sourcing vendor selection, relationship management and contract negotiation.
The Sr Advisor is expected to demonstrate significant depth of technical expertise in IT sourcing and vendor management, across hardware, software and/or IT service vendors, and a basic understanding of ITS functional / operational competencies. Additionally, the Sr Advisor is expected to demonstrate One AARP cultural attributes and behaviors in all interactions.
