Are you currently a student working on a degree in areas of study such as political science, public administration or gerontology?  



AARP is seeking a student, with applicable knowledge of the political system, communication and public relations to provide support for AARP Massachusetts’ office efforts around  voter engagement and advocacy related to a major nationwide initiative


  • You must have experience with basic research projects, gathering information, culling and capturing pertinent details with limited guidance.
  • You must have basic knowledge of Massachusetts news media and political landscape.
  • You must be able to interact and engage members of the public.
  • A commitment to the goals and priorities of AARP.
  • Good organizational and communications skills.
  • You must have experience working with Microsoft Office, Excel, Facebook and Twitter.
  • You must be able to work independently with limited supervision as well as part of a team.
  • You must be able to drive to events within Massachusetts.
  • Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
