Summary Statement

 

The AARP Community Resource Center in New Orleans is seeking a part-time student intern to work 20 hours per week as part of the Multicultural Outreach Team. This is a paid student internship with flexible hours.

 



Responsibilities

The student intern will help manage AARP projects and special events, educational offerings and member engagement; work directly with volunteers; and work with outreach and communications staff to write and produce materials for volunteers, media and the public.



Requirements

Interns must be currently enrolled in a degreed program at an accredited college or university; maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors.

Able to work well with diverse populations, commit to the goals and priorities of AARP; willing to collaborate with other organizations around AARP priority issues; and event planning Skilled using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Social Media and online research tools.
