Summary Statement

Performs initial review, data and financial analysis, and achievement of success metrics related to the national operational initiatives.  Develops analyses and provides data and reports to support business decisions.  Ensures the development and achievement of appropriate success metrics related to the national operational initiatives.  Uses research including sophisticated data and trend analysis, database and interactive tools, and knowledge of volunteer program delivery systems to help develop and implement effective business models and new systems including recently implemented New Volunteer Portal.  Position is able to quickly adjust evaluation, data collection, and business systems in response to changes in federal, grant, or organizational regulations and needs while always understanding the impact on volunteer management hierarchy.


Responsible for operational analysis, validation, cleansing, collection and reporting. Require strong business operations background to analyze qualitative and quantitative data/ info. Retrieve and analyze information / data, including manual files, external websites and statistical metrics from various sources that support senior management decisions. Strong ability to build business models in support of standard and ad hoc analysis and deliverables. Respond to informational / data inquiries from various groups within the organization. Create and publish regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc reports as needed.

Must be able to collect and track key program statistics and metrics, and monitor/measure program and financial performance. Document reporting requirements, operational processes and validate data components is required.

Knowledge of query tools and experience with relational databases and/or statistical analysis is required. Strong analytical and organizational skills required. Also, require sophisticated conceptual and analytical skills to assess need including data and financial analysis, environmental scans and other research, pilots and resources necessary to develop solutions and bring those solutions to scale through sensitive change management. The innovation work in systems development and data management is usually groundbreaking for the organization and necessitated first by and for Tax-Aide due to its structural complexity, large size and extreme impact on workload including Tax-Aide, Accounts Payable, Fulfillment, Procurement, Risk Management and others due to a seasonality that pushes and exceeds their systems and capacity for support. Must possess expert level knowledge of MS Excel (including Pivot Tables, Macros and formulas).


Bachelor’s degree required.  MBA preferred.

Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Operations Analyst, Business Analyst or other analytical role. 

Ability to interface and engage clients

Experience with different operational and financial systems (such as PeopleSoft, Navigator, SalesForce or MicroStrategy)
