Summary Statement

The Marketing Intern will support the Create the Good team in managing website content, social media profiles, and advertising campaigns. Create the Good connects those interested in volunteering with local volunteer opportunities.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Write and schedule social media posts. Stay current on social media trends and notify team of trends to consider for implementation.
  • Respond to inquiries submitted via social media and email.
  • Assist with writing and editing copy.
  • Regularly review content on website for appropriateness, timeliness and quality, as well as help in the development of new website pages.
  • Monitor campaign and website performance via analytic tools and provide feedback and actionable insights to business stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented individual with a basic working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest. Experience managing a profile on one or more of the sites is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience or familiarity with web publishing and production.
  • Metrics driven with the ability to analyze and optimize campaign performance.
  • Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Drupal, Salesforce, Photoshop and/or Dreamweaver a plus.
  • Fluent in written Spanish a plus.
  • Able to commit at least 20 – 30 hours per week.
